Understanding focal length of lenses for product photography is important because your final goal is to make a product look in the best possible way.

The best focal length for shooting products is at least 50mm and all the way up to 200mm. Macro lenses preferred, but as in filmmaking, there’s always a room to play around with wide-angle lenses, extreme close up shots, various angles and compositions.
