Yer toe-knuckles!
A very quick video demonstrating the needling angle of GB 39, XuanZhong - Suspended Bell. Insert between the fibula, and the fibular tendons.
Did you know that there are two common locations for ZhaoHai (K6)?
Location and needling of GB 41, ZuLinQi. Super important acupuncture point that many get wrong. Keep a close eye on that 4th toe - there is a teeny little twitch that we can expect with needling this point that’s indispensable for a stuck Liver.
Just a quick video on Tai Yuan (Lung 9) from one of my classes. Did you know I have all kinds of educational videos on my website? I even have a YouTube channel!

Why I Teach Acupuncture in Addiction & Mental Health
I’ve been practicing and teaching acupuncture for 25 years, and this is one of the areas that students ask me about often.
We see so many patients carrying trauma, addiction, anxiety, and nervous-system dysregulation. And many practitioners know something right away:
That the standard tools they were trained with aren’t enough.
I teach this work because acupuncture is incredibly effective here — when we understand what’s actually happening beneath the symptoms.
This is not about fixing people.
It’s about learning how to work safely, skillfully, and compassionately with people — and understanding why regulation comes first.
Remember - this February, I’m teaching a two-day workshop on Acupuncture in Addiction & Mental Health. I teach from the classics, contemporary neuroscience, and from decades of clinical experience — including work in hospitals and addiction settings.
If you’re an acupuncturist (or senior student) and this area feels important—or intimidating—you’re exactly who this is for.
More details about the February workshop are at acupunctureman.ca/students.
Details + registration link are also in bio.
