When one of Victoria‘s most beloved community festivals faced cancellation earlier this year, local organizations, businesses and community leaders came together to help keep it alive.

• 3–5 years of experience in a contract administration, legal assistant or senior administrative role 
• Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical, process-driven approach to work
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet competing deadlines
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

951 Beach Drive—a new chapter with Songhees Nation 🌊

We’re excited to announce our second joint venture with Songhees First Nation: a proposed 54-unit coastal residential community at 951 Beach Drive in the District of Oak Bay.

“Oak Bay is in the heart of our core territory. Creating prosperity within our region was a big reason to take a look at this.” —Songhees Chief, Ron Sam

Rooted in economic reconciliation, this project sees Songhees Nation participating as a full equity partner—sharing in the capital, the decisions and the returns that will flow directly back to the Nation for generations to come.

This is the second chapter of a relationship built on trust. The first—qʷɫaʔəléutxʷ (Camas House) at 1502 Admirals—delivered 66 affordable homes for Songhees community members. What we built there laid the foundation for this new project.

We’re expanding our development team and are looking for a Development Coordinator to help drive projects forward.

This role supports the full project lifecycle—from site analysis and municipal applications to community engagement and project close-out. You’ll play a key role in keeping consultant teams, approvals and timelines on track while supporting Development Managers across multiple active projects.

What we’re looking for:
 • 2–3 years of experience in urban planning, architecture, land economics, construction or a related field
 • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage across all levels of the organization
 • A proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple moving parts
 • Strong organizational skills and the ability to bring structure to complex projects
 • A sense of ownership and accountability in supporting project delivery

We’re still thinking about the Aryze News Café pop-up at Print Hole a few weeks back. As part of Design Victoria , we took over the shop to host a community third space—a place to recharge, meet up with friends and check out a curated selection of design, architecture and urbanism mags and books.

We handed out 200 free cups of coffee and so many cookies, and had the best time hanging out with everyone who made it such a good vibe!

Community Open House | 951 Beach Drive 🌊

We invite you to drop-in to an upcoming open house about our proposed development at 951 Beach Drive—currently in the early stages of the development process.

Members of our project team, including key consultants, will be present throughout the evening to answer questions, gather feedback and provide information alongside a selection of materials related to the proposal.
