Completed a new artwork today- acrylic paint and pencil on clayboard panel. Gold metallic detail. Old time Hollywood glam. Do you have a favorite outfit that makes you feel beautiful?

It's hard to believe that September is just about over. The weather is still nice so I can't complain. Here's a new painting to enjoy, make yourself your favourite drink and find a cozy spot to relax. Happy Friday to you all. Do you have a special beach that you enjoy?

A photo of my latest painting taken outside in my garden. The colours pop in the sun. If you look closely at the texture it looks like stone from an ancient building that has been eroded by sand, or visions of reptiles or the skin on a majestic elephant. The blocks of colour float above and the borders between each color provide a 3D effect.

A small section of a work in progress. I had a really nice day painting in the garden, it was getting to warm in the afternoon so I had to go inside for a break. I am grateful for my Masterson wet palette for keeping paints from drying out in the heat.

The tropical plants in our garden are enjoying the hot weather while other plants are drooping. There are misters in the flower bed that bring relief from the heat to the plants, hummingbirds, and people. The hummingbirds drink from water droplets on the rose bushes and trumpet vines.

A small dragon in my garden has lit the Red Hot Poker plants on fire. This Spring I planted more of the poker plants as my husband and the hummingbirds just love them. ❤❤❤❤🌸🌸🌸💐💐💐🌷🌷🌺🌺🌹🌹🐝🐝🐝 I find gardening to be another outlet for creativity. I spend many hours planning the next changes and thinking about how the colours and textures will work together. My goal is to attract as many butterflies, bees,and birds as possible. It brings me joy to see them enjoying the garden.

It"s my Mom's birthday soon and she asked me to paint her something. She usually wants me to paint something out of my comfort zone, usually of a religious nature. Here it is a tiny little painting for Mom. Thanks for thinking I am Michaelangelo Mom. 😆😆😆😆
