Hi, fry 👋These rainbow trout fry at the Fraser Valley Trout Hatchery were moved from an indoor trough to a larger, outdoor pond last month. At this critical time of fish development, staff monitor growth, water quality, and fish health closely. After about a year of growth, these fish will be released into Lower Mainland lakes next spring. Interested in learning more about summer activities at our trout hatcheries? Prince George, our Learn to Fish team is coming your way this summer! We'll be hosting two Learn to Fish programs for kids ages 5 - 15 at Shane Lake in Prince George. The first program takes place this Saturday, July 25th, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The second will run on August 22, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. These programs are free, but do require registration.
