Nice little scouting adventure this morning.

First time out with the backcountryskinz wading pants, I have to say I'm impressed. It was 8° this morning when I went in and I was totally fine.

I'm a big fan of natural looking nymphs with a coloured bead. This simple hares ear is a conglomerate of some of my favourite materials.

Another soft hackle pheasant tail.

This one is much more "leggy" thanks to some hen hackle.

If you tie small flies and haven't tried
12/0 you are missing out!

This place holds a special place in my heart. And I am lucky enough to have taken my kids with me on some seriously epic adventures. I am so happy I got to share this place with them, and although my youngest doesn't have the same passion for fishing I do you can sure see the reverence he has...... let's go summer time....

Pheasant tails are some of the buggiest looking flies.
