Hey, Sam Streeter here
It’s my passion to provide others with tools to come home to their truest most authentic selves. Thank you for being here.
Whether that’s through movement, stillness, breath work, journaling or conversations.
When movement just feels like a fun Saturday outing with a girlfriend…
💧💧💧~ think cardio, repetitive barre inspired movements, sneaky choreo that with have your b***y poppin and hips swayin’, then take it down to the floor for a real glute & core burn that will have you giggling through the crampy pain. Before you know it, you’re done and riding the endorphins you just shook up.
We spend so much time outputting our energy to our work, family, partners, pets, friends, etc. it’s so important to carve time out for YOU, your body, your mind. It’s a bonus when you find something that’s fun and doesn’t feel like a chore.
So, follow and keep your eyes peeled for next month’s class to scoop your spot. I hope to see you there 🫶🏽
First camping trip of the season in our “new” trailer.
We went to one of our favs for Easter long weekend. The weather was perfect for still being in the off season. There are beautiful walking trails through the forest and a lookout over the ocean, with epic views of Nanaimo. I can guarantee your see some eagles dancing in the sky.
There’s a park for the kids and paved roads for biking or scootering around the campground.
On Saturday, there was a “walk around”, kind of a market put on by certain sites, selling crafts, handmade goods, and used items. The Easter Bunny even payed us a visit Sunday morning and stuck around for the great egg hunt of ‘26!
We’ll definitely be back in the summer when the Living Forest Cafe is open for the season. They’ve got the best icecream! And, the river is magical, whether you’re swimming, kayaking, SUPing, being on the water is where it’s at.
Till next time ✌🏽🏕️ 🦅
While Asana (postures) is the most popular limb of yoga, it is only one component of this holistic system, which also includes ethical restraints, personal observances, breathwork, and deep meditation
The 8 limbs of yoga, outlined in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra
1. Yama (Restraints): Ethical standards and social ethics, including non-violence (ahimsa), truthfulness (satya), non-stealing (asteya), sexual responsibility (brahmacharya), and non-greediness (aparigraha).
2. Niyama (Observances): Self-discipline and inner discipline, including cleanliness (saucha), contentment (santosha), austerity (tapas), self-study (svadhyaya), and surrender to a higher power (ishvara pranidhana).
3. Asana (Postures): Physical postures designed to strengthen and purify the body to prepare it for long periods of meditation.
4. Pranayama (Breath Control): Techniques used to regulate the breath and extend the life force, or prana.Pratyahara (Withdrawal of the Senses): Turning the focus inward by detaching from external sensory input.
5. Dharana (Concentration): Cultivating a single point of focus for the mind.
6. Dhyana (Meditation): A state of uninterrupted flow of concentration or quiet, focused contemplation.
7. Samadhi (Enlightenment/Absorption): A state of profound union with the Divine or universal consciousness, characterized by peace and joy. Significance

On the first week of December… I truly love this time of year. Our Activity Advent Calendar is filled with festive fun and my cup is full from the joy of it all ✨

Life moves fast- and having children as a benchmark of time only accentuates it. Some, maybe most, days I’m overwhelmed and overstimulated. When I remind myself to slow down, be present and participate in the joy of childhood, I can experience the true joy in motherhood.
“The more a mother enjoys her motherhood, the more a child enjoys their childhood. The two are inextricably linked.”

I told that I wanted to capture joy, movement and energy and he did just that.

It’s taken me a month to share anything about my birthday… maybe because it feels like any other year. There’s no monumental switch that actually gets flipped as we turn another year older. It’s really, just another day but this one felt big to me. I mean, I did just turned 40! So, yeah, kind of a big deal. Until I’m 50 and laugh at myself for fearing this number. That’s it though, it’s just a number. Aging is an absolute privilege. I’m sure a lot of us feel mentally frozen at a certain age, just trying to figure it out as our vessels do the aging.
As I cross this invisible threshold on this wild journey of life what I do reflect on most is the speed of time. How recess once felt like a literal vacation, summer felt like a year, and now you blink, the seasons have changed again and another holiday is quickly approaching.
This life isn’t about collecting things, but sharing love and creating memories. I’m feeling abundantly grateful for friends that show up like family and a big birthday that was filled with love, laughs, amazing food, and a soggy trip to Tofino/ Ukie 🫶🏽
