Over the weekend, I had the privilege of attending a film mixer and learning from guest speaker Jim Erickson. I have 29 pages of notes I took over a two-day period: 25 pages of rough set sketches and notes from studying “Lincoln,” where he won an Oscar for his work as a set decorator, and an additional 4 pages of notes (including 1 sketch) from the mixer.
A couple years ago, when I was going back to college, I was really looking forward to learning about set design for theatre. When the program I got into didn’t end up running, I was heartbroken. Getting the chance to learn about set decorating for film filled a void I didn’t know was there, and re-invigorated that passion I’d set to the side.
Thanks to Victoria Clements for organizing this event, the people at Magic Box Studios for hosting, IATSE 891 for their sponsorship, the wonderful people I met and reconnected with at the event, and Jim Erickson for your time, wealth of knowledge, and brilliant stories!

2025 ❤️
What a special year. I met so many amazing, hardworking, and talented souls that I don’t actually have pictures of all of you (or even all the projects I had the privilege of working on).
A few highlights:
* Was accepted into my first ever residency with the Rossland Emerging Artist Residency
* Taught my first ever workshop
* Sang in three different choirs (plus additional choral events outside of those choirs)
* Assistant Directed my first play
* Had my biggest role in a short film
* Helped bring a new performing arts space to life
But most importantly… I rested.
After the summer, I stopped actively auditioning for four months. As thrilled as I was to be working, I knew that I couldn’t do my best work if I was burnt out, and I recognized the signs creeping in near the end of August. So I stepped back. Whilst I continued to fulfill my choral commitments and already scheduled acting gigs, taking the time to rest was the healing my mind and body needed. It’s a decision I don’t regret, and it gave me the time to instead support and uplift the people around me, as well as reflect on what I wanted for 2026.
To all the people I met, worked with, and reconnected with this year, thank you. It was the people who made this year so special, and I’m so grateful to each and every one of you for gifting me your light and energy. I have never loved more, nor felt more loved by the people around me ❤️

“I Don’t Know You At All” is finally out!
Playing Elle in this short film was one of the most special experiences I’ve ever had. Her complexity and vulnerability were a treasure to explore, and one of my biggest acting challenges thus far. She means more to me than words can say, and I’m so thrilled to finally share her with you all.
But most special of all were the people who made this film happen. From the cast to the crew, this was truly the most supportive and uplifting environment as I wept and screamed in a parkade for literal hours on end. You were all my rock and my light, and an absolute joy to work with.
I especially want to thank Emily Anne for being so generous and vulnerable in your writing and directing (amongst the many other hats you wore!), and for gifting me the privilege of working on this project. Elle will forever be a dear character in my heart, and I owe you all the thanks in the world for this vision. I also want to thank Olivia for being the Emma to my Elle, the most phenomenal lead for me to look up to, and for being the best person in the world to scream at, laugh with, and cry with in the middle of the night in a parkade.
Thank you all for this gift of a project; it means more to me than words can say 💖
Many more photos coming soon!

What can I say about these people other than how much I love them?
It’s been two months of creativity, change, collaboration, and chaos, and I wouldn’t have it any other way because the people I had the privilege of working with have been the most supportive, brilliant, and healing souls. Words continuously fail me because my heart is so full, and all that comes to mind is just how much I love this team and the art we created 💖
From “Friday Night Crashout” to putting up ceiling tiles, I feel so lucky to have known and worked with you all. Thank you to the for this summer gig, and all my best wishes to the phenomenal team I’ve spent the past eight weeks loving.
Here are just a few performance/rehearsal/concert highlights, but I promise many more photos are coming soon 😉

The Rossland Emerging Artist Residency 2025 💚
After two weeks of writing, creating, teaching, and learning, words are suddenly failing me. This place and these people were put in my life at the perfect time, and as I prepare to go, I can’t help but replay our time together and smile through the tears.
Thank you to the Lofty Goal Project, the Wild Turkey Inn, Kootenay Danceworks, the Charles Bailey Theatre, and all the incredible people and sponsors who made this residency possible. I especially want to thank Inès, Sam, Elise, Alex, Shauna, and Mike. My heart is full as I leave, the imprint of the city and its people stitched gently into my heart 💚
