A Gathering of Collectors and Fans

A pop culture convention for the whole family. The Vernon Comic Con brings fans from the world of movies, TV, comics, collectibles, cosplay, games and more into town. With the persistence from Peter Kaz and assistance of many private collectors, retail stores, artists, game creators and others, Vernon Comic Con was born in 2018 and produced by One 11 Media Group - O11MG. The event takes place annually on the first Saturday in May, (purposely placed on Free Comic Book Day, with a local vendor offering free collectable comics).

It’s not just about comic books, which many newbies recognized quickly. It celebrates the very best pop culture has to offer. Epic memories and awesome friendships have been created at this convention. What started as a small event in 2018 in one room (with just over 1000 fans attending), the following year over 5000 flocked to this convention. Which took over many more rooms in the hotel and a live venue.

Featured are exhibitors that cater to a wide-spectrum of interests including comic books, magazines, toys, games, Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel/DC, anime, manga, cosplay, artwork, sketches, apparel and so much more. In addition, a roster of comic industry professionals attend for attendees to meet and greet. “My favourite part is seeing a plethora of like minded people of all ages, smile around every corner (and many of them dressed up)” - Peter Kaz.
