We may have been quiet on socials, but we’ve been busy elsewhere. The past three weekends we were in Prince George preaching and offering a Prayer Ministry Team Training for two churches, in Kamloops for a Children’s ministry fall training, and then in Langley for another Children’s Ministry event with five churches. Thank you so much women’s ministry for having me speak at the Abide retreat this weekend at . The only photo I took was of the amazing food because the rest of the weekend was full of worship, prayer, laughter, new friendships, testimony and growing in our connection and dependence on God (John 15). It was an amazing and sweet weekend together.

How can Threshold Initiatives help a church grow in their prayer life while equipping their people to minister to others in prayer? We spent the weekend leading a Prayer Ministry Team Training that focused on teaching on how to minister in prayer with practical breakout moments and opportunities for growth in creating a culture of prayer. .kinniburgh also preached on Sunday on Psalm 139 and King David’s reorientation of heart back into alignment with God.

This past year I decided to read and listen to more books to stretch, grow, and push myself to think bigger, better thoughts while engaging on a deeper level. I found it helpful to listen to audio books as I was travelling, doing yard work, building a retaining wall, and walking the dog. Now, you may be thinking: how much are you retaining when just listening to books? I can give you two responses to that question: more than if I don’t read at all, and way more if I listen to that book a few times over.

A large part of our weekly ministry is spent providing one-on-one hourly pastoral care with people. Lots of people are looking for specialized pastoral care outside of the local church, for a variety of reasons. Our client sessions focus on helping people to encounter Jesus in the deep places of woundings, past issues, and areas of spiritual brokenness.
