Nuts N Berries Farm Crawl
Join Trees Forever and partners for an exciting farm crawl making stops at three different sites featuring honeyberries and kiwiberries, chestnuts, paw paw and more. Learn how these growers are Accelerating Agroforestry in Iowa.
Hazelnut Field Day and Pruning Workshop
Join Trees Forever and the Iowa Nut Growers Association for a hazelnut field day and pruning workshop on Friday, May 1st starting at 5:30 pm at the Trees Forever Office located at 80 W 8th Ave. Marion IA.
Agroforester Jeff Jensen will provide some brief classroom instruction about hazelnuts, pruning, and orchard management before we travel to a local hazelnut orchard to put our skills to the test doing some pruning, mulching, caging and general orchard management.
Light refreshments and samples will be provided, as well as tools to use out in the field. Please dress appropriately and bring a water bottle.
