Inner Strength Wellness

One thing that has been a frequent session conversation is discussing the word no. It is an interesting word, since such a short word can create a lot of feelings. But this is so important in understanding ourselves and setting boundaries. Saying no can sound like ‘I can’t take that on right now’ or ‘That doesn’t work for me’. Therapy can help with practicing guilt free boundaries, because for a lot of individuals no to others was not in their vocabulary.

This morning I enjoyed some continuing education. It was all about AI. I am no expert, but I know it is impacting all aspects of our lives. In all the legal and ethical information (which was super informative), the presenter reminded us all ‘You are the human in the room’. Why am I sharing this? Well because it impacted me on my views in my therapy practice, but also for so many clients that have walked into my office. We sometimes place such high expectations on ourselves that we do not allow for our humanness and quite frankly, it is our humanness that is the greatest part! As I return to my coffee and updating business forms with the new information, I hope you go on with your day with a little softening into your humanness. 🤍
