That's a wrap!

On May 28th, Beurling Academy honored the Arts, Academics and Athletics by hosting our annual Art Exposition, Spaghetti dinner and Awards night. Students, staff and community members alike gathered together to celebrate their talent and achievements throughout this school year.

Our Grade 7 students proudly wrote their first from the University of Waterloo!

Through practice and perseverance, they built confidence and embraced the challenge. We’re proud to see them carry on our school’s tradition of participating at the national level—well done, Grade 7s

Our Grade 11 Physics students recently put theory into action during our “Power Lab” in the outdoor classroom!

Students rotated through multiple stations including stair climbing, push-ups, bicep curls, and weighted bag pulls as they applied their understanding of energy, work, and power to real-life movement and exercise.

By calculating the work completed and the power generated at each station, students experienced firsthand how physics connects directly to everyday activities and athletic performance. A great mix of learning, collaboration, and physical challenge!

Our Grade 9 JUMP students immersed themselves in the worlds of science and discovery during their visit to the insectarium and planetarium! As an added challenge, students communicated only in French while completing activities throughout the day: putting their language skills into action in a fun and engaging way.

Another incredible Outer’s Club end-of-the-year camping trip is officially in the books! This year’s adventure took us to Parc national du Mont-Mégantic for a three-day, two-night experience filled with amazing hikes, great weather, and all around good vibes. ✨
With perfect hiking conditions, we split into two groups based on experience level. Our intermediate hikers completed a four hour trek with two beautiful lookout points where we took in the views and stopped to enjoy lunch before heading back to camp. Meanwhile, our more experienced group pushed even farther, conquering an impressive 16 kilometre, 8 hour hike to the summits of Mont St. Joseph and Mont Megantic.👏 What a great way to wrap up the year! 🏕️🥾

Shoutout to Mr. Phil and Ms. Victoria’s Project Hour groups for collaborating on an exciting memory experiment! Students researched memorization techniques to discover which strategies work best, then tested their findings with Mr. Mann’s Project Hour group.

This project was a great example of teamwork, collaboration, and hands-on learning across groups. Great work by all involved!
