We were excited to attend James Lyng Adult Education Centre's Literacy Fair on May 28 for a second year in a row!
With approximately 300 students in attendance, the event was another strong demonstration of the importance of literacy, lifelong learning, and community connection. We loved having the opportunity to share who we are at Literacy Quebec, highlight how our member organizations support English-speaking communities through free literacy services and programs, and talk about why literacy skills matter at every stage of life.
A big thank you to the faculty at James Lyng for welcoming us, and to our member, RECLAIM Literacy, for helping organize such a meaningful event.
We look forward to attending again next year and continuing conversations about the power of literacy in strengthening individuals and communities. 💙

On June 1, we celebrate Intergenerational Day, a reminder of the importance of bringing generations together through connection, conversation, and shared experiences.
At Literacy Quebec, we see the power of intergenerational learning through our Family Literacy Tool Kit, designed to help children, parents, grandparents, and caregivers connect through literacy activities, storytelling, and play.
This Intergenerational Day, explore ways to learn, connect, and grow together across generations. 💙
