More your common or garden "Everyday Nature" – lichen in the alley, a house sparrow, the squirrel that is digging up your bulbs, the crow cawing on the wires in the alley. Since receiving my first camera in 1962, I've spent many, many hours looking at the world through a lens. A full-time artist since 2006, I've been selling my work at local Vancouver galleries and markets and online since then. M
This is Sneezy and Sue’s fledgling, tucked away in the dark leaves of the plum tree and entertaining themself. Already learning one of the most important lessons — is it Food or Not Food? Fingers crossed for this little one staying safe in the tree a while longer. Sneezy and Sue lost one fledgling the day before yesterday, probably to a raccoon, so staying high and quiet is the best strategy for now.
I have seen my first crow fledglings of the season, so it’s time to post my annual guide on HOW to spot baby crows and, more importantly, understanding WHY there may be some dive-bombing crow parents out there.
