GNW making my dreams come true!

West Point Grey Academy will present A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Norman Rothstein Theatre next week. Designed by Kimira Reddy, this set has kept us busy with cutting and constructing and painting for weeks. We love working on theatre productions of all sizes, and we are always available to talk about your ideas and how they might be realized.

As I look back on 2024, I feel so grateful for the incredible journey this year has been. From designing immersive sets and installations to exploring with mixed reality, it’s been a year filled with creativity, learning, and growth. Thank you to all the collaborators, clients, and companies who made this possible. You’ve truly inspired me. 🙌

Every project this year has taught me something new and reminded me why I love what I do: creating spaces that tell stories, spark imagination, and connect us to something deeper.

I’m excited for what 2025 holds, with some amazing projects already in the works. I’m also eager to meet and collaborate with fresh faces who share the same passion for bold, innovative ideas 🤩

Here’s to another year of dreaming big (bigger design budgets 😉) and making it happen!

Thank you for being part of my creative journey,
Kimira 🙂

Drift: An Art Installation Created for Human Connection 10/30/2024

Excited to announce that the video for Drift is now available! 🎥 Check it out here: https://youtu.be/NhPxlwDtsk8

Drift was created as a contemplative space for viewers to reconnect with themes of heritage, transience, and belonging. It was incredibly moving to see the different ways people engaged with this installation—reflecting, resting, and connecting within its environment of driftwood, textiles, and sound.

My deepest gratitude to everyone who made this journey possible, especially Indian Summer Festival and Boca Del Lupo, for helping bring this vision to life. I hope Drift offers a moment of pause for you as it did for those who joined in person.

To the ones who drifted through this space and left moved, connected, or simply at ease—thank you. Drift is a piece of my roots, carried across the ocean to give back to this city. May we all find places that feel like home, wherever we are.

Tomorrow, I’m sharing the experience with you on YouTube. I hope you find something to hold onto.

As I worked on Drift, I was inspired by the stories of individuals who have crossed paths, leaving traces in each other’s lives—much like driftwood shaped by the tides.

I hope this installation fosters conversations and reflections about our shared experiences, reminding us that we are all part of a larger narrative.

Next Wednesday I'll be sharing a short video about my inspiration for Drift. Don't miss it!
