Langara College
Langara College offers University, Career, and Continuing Studies to more than 21,000 students annually.
Located in beautiful Vancouver, BC, Canada, Langara College started in 1965 as part of Vancouver City College and in 1970, it opened its West 49th Avenue campus. On April 1, 1994, Langara College was established as an independent public college under the Provincial College and Institute Act. The College is also known as house of teachings, a name given to us by the Musqueam First Nation, on whose

Recent graduate Amber Cornick's academic journey in biology was shaped by hands-on learning and the support she found through Langara’s Indigenous community spaces—making it easier to focus on her goals and feel at home on campus.
Amber is also an emerging Musqueam artist, and her Indigenous version of Langara Athletics’ falcon logo is helping bring cultural representation to snəw̓eyəɬ leləm Langara College.

Today is National Indigenous Peoples Day.
It's a moment to celebrate the cultures, histories, and resilience of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Peoples across Canada, and to recognize Musqueam, on whose unceded territory our campus sits.
We're especially proud of the 25 Indigenous students who reached major milestones at snəw̓eyəɬ leləm̓ Langara College this year. Some finished their programs. Some are heading to UBC. All of them carry the strength of their communities with them.
Thank you for choosing snəw̓eyəɬ leləm̓ as part of your studies.

What does it really mean to 'discover' a place where people have lived since time immemorial?
That's the question Gail Sparrow, former Chief of Musqueam and special advisor to the president at snəw̓eyəɬ leləm̓ Langara College, puts to us in her latest TEDx talk in Vancouver.
In it, she confronts the legacy of Canada's colonial systems and offers something harder to find: a way for each of us to take part in reconciliation, and to bring visibility to those who feel invisible.

For the first time at Langara, Black graduates from the Langara Black Students Union (LBSU) wore Kente stoles at convocation thanks to an initiative made possible through a personal sponsorship by Shelley-Anne Vidal (Langara School of Management).
Graduate Grace Kumi shares what it means to her: “It means a lot to feel seen. It made me feel complete, as I didn’t need to choose between being a Ghanaian and being a Langara graduate.”
