364 days of the year, it is best drummers are heard and not seen… but NOT TODAY! Today we shine a light on our dear drummer .history.of.violets. Violet’s contribution to DEDI cannot be overstated. Her musical intuition as a drummer is enviable. She can catch whatever crazy ideas we throw her way and make it sound better than we ever thought possible. We are a better band because of her. She is an eagle among gulls when it comes to making off the cuff puns, and a skate-punk apologist that harbours a dogmatic intolerance for all things indie-rock. The journey she’s been on these last few years has been nothing short of inspiring. She is a total badass, and we love her very much.
A happy Trans Visibility Day to you, Violet. Thanks for being our bandmate and friend. You’re as cool as they come.

We recorded this song FIVE years ago when we were working on our last album, “A Worthwhile Endeavour.” We decided to leave it off the album and save it for a rainy day, but then we just sort of forgot about it. Well… it’s raining today, so HERE IT IS!
