Building solidarity in Latin America since 1985!

06/20/2026

During our 2026 Solidarity and Fundraising Dinner, we invited participants to stand up for Cuba: this is what International Solidarity looks like!

06/16/2026

Online webinar June 25 at 3 pm Vancouver time.

Join us as we highlight how oppressive systems and undervalued labour affect women’s health, and how we can work together to create the conditions, build alliances, and promote good practices for women’s occupational health.

Panellists from Canada and the Central American Women’s Network in Support of Maquila Workers will discuss the challenges and progress related to Occupational Health and Safety. They will address the rising wave of violence against women in the workplace, which is connected to deteriorating labour conditions and public services. Additionally, they will highlight the labour movement's efforts to promote better working conditions and a healthier life for all workers.

Following the panel discussion, participants will have the opportunity to join an open Q&A session to share their experiences or ask questions. We encourage everyone to engage and participate in the dialogue.

Sponsored by CUPE BC.

Thanks to the support of our Canadian labour partners and many, many individual collaborators we have a full house for our 2026 Solidarity and Fundraising Dinner. We’ll be enjoying great food from and wonderful music from Angelo Moroni and — and honouring our two Cuban union partners and our dear friend Steve Stewart. This is what looks like. And how we create a more just and equitable world!

Fresh insight from our friends at the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives.

The Canada-Cuba relationship has always been a test of sovereignty | CCPA Playing the “Cuba card” has allowed for Canada to assert an independent foreign policy from the United States. It’s time to play it again.
