🛩️ UnfAir Canada was a winning campaign for our partners at Air Canada Component of CUPE and their intrepid Air Canada flight attendant members.

🏆 But it was also a winner in the ad industry, internationally! This past weekend “UnfAir Canada: The Podcast” won Silver and Bronze at the Polaris Awards.

It’s been 30 years since the beginning of what is now known as National Indigenous Peoples’ Day.

In that time, communities across Turtle Island have faced hard truths about our history of colonialism. We’ve also witnessed, learned from and celebrated the continued resilience of Indigenous Peoples.

Precedent-setting victories in the Supreme Court – Delgamuukw (1999), Powley (2003), Tsilhqot'in (2014), among others.

Historic Nation-building projects, including by our partners wa lh7tím̓á ta Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (the Squamish Nation Constitution Project ).

The Truth and Reconciliation Commission (2008-2015) and its 94 Calls to Action.

The adoption of UNDRIP (2021).

We are reflecting on these milestones, and celebrating First Nations, Metis and Inuit Peoples across Turtle Island, today and every day.

43 years ago, thousands of injured workers gathered on the steps of Queen's Park to demand a say into Workers' Comp policy. They were successful, yet the fight continues: 1 in 4 workers in Ontario do not have Workers' Comp protection. Today the labour movement gathers once again to call for action.

Pressure is heating up for the Ford government to deliver funding for services that vulnerable people rely on, with thousands of workers at community and social service agencies going on strike today.

This is a fight for the future of the services we provide, and we’re calling on employers to support this call for funding to shorten job action.

We want to get back to the people we support as soon as possible, but workers simply cannot continue to carry a crumbling system on our backs.
