When drivers brake later, but end up over-slowing, and therefore not go any (or much) faster, this is an illustration I show them. It takes more than just beginning to brake later. The brake release is the critical part.

A new version of my Speed Secrets book, in Chinese, just got released (in China). Added to the German, Polish, and Korean versions, my only question is whether I’m saying the same things in these other languages?!!

My commute home from “work” at Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit today.

What a fantastic day at yesterday: a full Open Lapping Day, getting to talk with and share driving tips with fun/enthusiastic drivers, then the Lotus Car Club of BC stopped by for a visit and an hour or so of lapping (I HAD to lead with a Lotus Emira… I love, love, love that car). The night ended by noticing the huge moon through the trees. Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit is one of my very favorite places in the world!
