A glimpse into the colors, rhythms, and traditions that make Canada so beautifully diverse. From Punjabi beats to Ukrainian steps, Native voices to Chinese artistry — cultures came together on one stage to celebrate unity in diversity.
Vancouver’s legendary Drum Circle has been bringing people together for over 20 years — a vibrant tradition of rhythm, dance, and community. From the moment the drums begin to echo across the beach, strangers turn into family, and the sunset becomes the stage for pure connection. It was an immense pleasure to capture this living piece of Vancouver’s culture in my documentary — a celebration of sound, spirit, and togetherness that has stood the test of time.
I was invited to make a documentary about the Vancouver Drum Circle, one of the city’s most unique summer traditions. While filming at 3rd Beach, it reminded me of the song Hawa Hawa from Rockstar — it felt like watching those scenes come alive in real life. This community is not just about music and dance, but about people coming together to share joy, rhythm, and culture. I can’t wait to share the final documentary with you all.
