Pickup3
PickUp3 is an easy, fun way for each of us to help protect marine life and ocean health. When we hear the ocean is in trouble it’s easy to feel overwhelmed.
If you want to take action but don’t know where to start, PickUp3 is your answer. PickUp3 is a growing movement driven by communities that care. These communities want to remove plastic and other waste from our beaches, educate on the importance of ocean health and inspire people to take action and care for their oceans.

A fantastic day spent at White Rock Beach yesterday with , where students were encouraged to participate in , explored the intertidal zone (seeing firsthand plastic pollution), discussed the impact of fast fashion and learned about biomagnification of microplastics in the food chain! A brilliantly busy afternoon - thank you, Southridge!

Hey Ocean lovers, we need your help! 🌊
Give Where You Live is an exciting giving campaign that empowers you to join others in our community in supporting a select group of local charities. Ocean Ambassadors Canada is one of the 8 selected charities participating in this year’s campaign.
We are raising funds for the Pickup3 project which is part of a growing movement launched so that every one of us can play our part in protecting our ocean, lakes, rivers, forests and more. Our goal is to grow this movement so that everyone across our country picks up at least 3 pieces of garbage each time they are in nature. A habit for all Canadians!
We hope that you will consider donating to Ocean Ambassadors’ PickUp3 program through the Give Where You Live campaign. Your donation will support our team to provide education workshops at schools, events, and beaches throughout our community. Your donation will be matched by funds from the West Vancouver Foundation, doubling your giving!

We had a great day visiting the students and staff at Hawthorne Elementary School in Delta yesterday to share the movement.
During our workshop we discussed ocean health, marine pollution and showed students how something that seems like a small action that one person can do can actually make a really big difference when lots of people are taking part as a community - have you used our PickUp3 Trash Meter to log your collection count?
