It's time for our Fourth Annual "Get To Know You" gathering!!
We want to invite all our friends & neighbours, folks new & old, those who have supported our farm and our business Flashpoint Climate Solutions over the past year!

Join us for an afternoon in front of the lake around the bonfire with hotdogs & snacks & getting to know new people. We'll provide the hotdog fixings, coffee/tea/water, we invite you to bring a side or dessert to share and don't forget your lawn chairs!!

And et me tell you about our 100 Acre Scavenger Hunt that starts at 3pm. We have miles of trails through our forest and bush. And each year we invite youth and families in to race through the bush and “spot the items” over 100 Acres. We block off the trails we don’t want you on and put fun and silly items on all the trails we do want you on. Youth age 10 and up can go into the trails in groups of two or more and they have a two hour time limit. There is usually some good competition to see which groups can spot the most and to avoid cheating, we usually have one or two items on the list NOT included ;) We have maps posted here and there throughout the trails so nobody can get too badly lost and we call everyone back with an air horn after about two hours. Families with younger children are also welcome to do the Scavenger Hunt together although we warn you that our trails are neither stroller nor toddler legs friendly. Families can join in at 3pm when the youth go out or walk the trails at your leisure. 🥾

We also will have a mini Scavenger Hunt for littler kids on our front hill where they can be mostly within viewing of the campfire zone. We remind parents that we are right along the lake so you will need to keep an eye on younger kids.

A new feature this year, born from all our summer day camps, is the Enchanted Forest Trail. This trail has over 70 small fantasy scenes to spot: like gnome homes, fairy houses, frog & bunny families, a few unicorns, a couple dragons, some fun signs and cute mushroom houses. We will take groups out for a guided tour of this trail too, probably around 4pm.

We will have a tractor 🚜 pulled hayride with a tour down one of our trails to our big back garden and haskap orchard. There will be a few scavenger hunt items to spot along the hayride route too. 👀
Also, our old farm truck will be decorated for fall for anyone who wants to sit in the back for photos with fall decor or sit in the front with our new “Farmer Wolf” and take a selfie 🤳 📸🎃

We have two outdoor washrooms with flushing toilet 🚽 and washing up sinks available for our guests too.

Reminder that the hotdogs, coffee, tea and water are all provided. We just ask that you let us know you’re coming and how many are coming with you and if you could, bring a salad or dessert or chips to share.

💥💥Important: Please don’t forget your LAWN CHAIRS 🪑 to enjoy sitting around the bonfire.
