It's the beginning of a new month, and you know what that means: This Saturday from 1-3 PM is our Silent Book Club! Bring your current read (or borrow one of ours, we have tons), grab a comfy spot in the gallery, get yourself a cup of tea and some snacks, and settle in for some no-pressure socialization. The best part about Silent Book Club is that there is no pile of dirty dishes in the next room calling you, no lawn that needs mowing just outside, and no inbox full of unanswered emails haunting you. Just a quiet room, a book (or ebook, magazine, etc.), some cookies, and a few other people hoping to carve out a few minutes for themselves to just sit and be.

This year's cosmic western themed PLS Symposium was a blast! Thanks to everyone at Peace Library System for putting on the event and to keynote speaker Nick Tanzi for giving us all a lot to think about in regards to the inexorable and often enigmatic force that is AI.

First of all, thank you to everyone who came out to watch "Fried Green Tomatoes" with us last month. We laughed, we cried, we cringed a little bit. For June, the people have spoken, and so we are excited to be screening the Mel Brooks comedy "Robin Hood: Men in Tights." Join us June 19th for a classic 90s movie. Bring your snacks, slippers, and comfy blanket, but please- leave your bow and arrows at home.

Just a heads up that the library will be closed from 11-1:30 this Friday so that staff can attend the teepee raising. We hope to see you there!
