Penelope the Miner visited Mme Tracy’s Kindergarten classroom today!
A special thank you to sponsors Orix Geoscience Ltd. of Sudbury and
YMP (Young Mining Professionals / Ore Group) in Toronto for the gift of Literacy. Each student went home with both an English and newly translated French copy of the book Penelope the Miner.
In addition, a heartfelt thanks goes out to the author Lenna Rhodes (a former RDSB elementary teacher) for supplying Mme Tracy’s class with a class set of miner hard hats to decorate and vests.
Mme Tracy’s Kindergarten class thoroughly enjoyed learning about the fun world of mining. 🩷
