Today, our Grade 4/5/6 co-ed softball team had the opportunity to participate in a softball tournament at the Terry Fox Sports Complex. Throughout the day, our students demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship, teamwork, and determination while proudly representing Immaculate.
Although our team did not advance to the next round, they played with great effort, perseverance, and a positive attitude in every game. We are incredibly proud of the way they supported one another and competed until the very end.
A special thank you to Mrs. Romanyszyn and Mr. Vaillancourt for their time, dedication, and support in coaching our team! 🥎 Sudbury Catholic Schools

This year, improving student achievement in mathematics was a key focus of our School Achievement Plan, and we are incredibly proud of the progress ALL of our students have made.
A special congratulations goes out to those students who successfully completed FULL Mathalons in Knowledeghook this year! Through dedication, perseverance, and a commitment to learning, these students challenged themselves, strengthened their mathematical thinking, and demonstrated tremendous growth by completing at least 250 stars!
Math learning is not just about finding the right answer—it’s about building confidence, problem-solving skills, and resilience. We are thrilled to see so many students embracing challenges and celebrating their success along the way.
Thank you to our staff for their ongoing support and to our families for encouraging a positive attitude toward learning at home. Together, we are helping our students develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive. 🎉🧮💚💛

Yesterday, Mme Wissell’s Grade 3/4 class had an amazing opportunity to attend the Traditional Indigenous Summer Games Festival at Kivi Park, organized by the Indigenous Education SCDSB
in partnership with Spirit North.
Students spent the day outside enjoying the sunshine while taking part in a variety of Indigenous games and activities that celebrated cultures from different nations and territories. The day was filled with teamwork, laughter, new experiences, and friendly challenges. Students also enjoyed time at the playground and the chance to connect with classmates and friends. 🥍🪶🍃
A heartfelt miigwetch to all the organizers, volunteers, and community partners who made this special day of cultural learning, outdoor exploration, and fun possible for our students. 🧡 Sudbury Catholic Schools

Last week, Mme Wissell’s grade 3/4 FI class lead our prayer service focusing on Empathy.
We were proud to recognize students who consistently demonstrate kindness, compassion, and an understanding of the feelings and experiences of others. Their actions help make our school a welcoming and caring place for everyone.
Congratulations to all of our Empathy Award recipients! Thank you for showing us what it means to walk in someone else's shoes and lead with a caring heart. 🐾

Last Friday, our Miss Olivia took over as Principal for the Day and took the role very seriously. She began the day with morning announcements and helping with attendance. She helped pack up our EQAO toolkits, was on kindergarten recess duty, ran errands and answered phones. Like all Principal’s do, she had a private take out lunch from her favourite restaurant with her best friends 🤪🤪. She then gifted the rest of the school with an extended recess. Olivia also made rounds handing out stickers and taking pictures while visiting classrooms. Finally, she ended her day helping to organize dismissal. She did a wonderful job and has a bright future ahead her. 🌟Thanks to everyone who participated in our Toonies for Tuition campaign.
