How many nuts should you eat? 🤔

A healthy handful of nuts (about 30g) every day is recommended for good health. 🌰🥜

Why 30g? Much of the research linking nuts to health benefits is based on this amount, and the Australian Dietary Guidelines define a serve of nuts as 30g.

What does 30g look like? A handful, ¼ cup or 2 tablespoons of nut butter.

What if you want more? Research shows that enjoying around two handfuls of nuts a day may help lower cholesterol levels - without affecting body weight.

Whether they're:
🌰 Part of your breakfast
🌰 Tossed through a salad
🌰 Added to a smoothie or stir-fry, or

Sun-soaked fields, golden bales, blue skies with puffy white clouds — this is quintessential Southern Ontario farm country in mid summer.

So many hazelnut clusters!! 🌰

Our trees are filled with ripening hazelnuts!

Our farm is pretty dark at night, being away from light pollution, so I went out the other night around 10:30 pm to watch the Perseid meteor shower but didn’t see any. However, I did see the Big Dipper and Cassiopeia.

The air quality out there is pretty rough right now at our hazelnut orchard. The Air Quality Health Index (AWHI) is sitting at 11, which is as bad as the scale goes.
Looks like the wildfire 🔥 smoke 💨 is settling in over a good chunk of southern Ontario.
