Prairie Soap Shack takes plants of prairies and inspiration from the past to create all natural skin

Things you won’t find at Prairie Soap Shack:

Shame around the way normal, natural skin looks, or any fear about growing older.

When I started my business, I knew I didn’t want to compete with big beauty brands. I wanted to create something different…a community that celebrates the beauty of every stage of life instead of trying to freeze youth in a bottle.

If this resonates, please stick around. You’re my kind of people.

Lesson learned in my late 30s.
Most valuable type of currency for me? TIME.

One of our limited summer soaps … poplar leaf with palo santo. An earthy, grounding soap bar. Inspired by the trembling aspen poplars on the prairies. Trembling yet young ones growing strong. Watching many of the older poplars here in our area die from drought conditions the past few years - it’s a changing landscape around here. But these young poplars will fill their space in time.

Soap available this Sunday June 7 at 7pm mst at prairiesoapshack.com

After more than 7 years of running my small business, I’ve found that the best lessons aren’t in a book or a class. They’re learned by trying, failing, pivoting, and figuring it out as you go.

Would I do some things differently if I could start all over again? Probably. But I’m grateful for all of the lessons that have brought me exactly to where I am now.

Some books just hit you right in the heart. This was one of those books, and I know it’s going to stay with me forever.

If you’re subscribed to my newsletter, you may have seen the email I sent out a few weeks ago talking about how much I loved the book Finding Flora by Elinor Florence, as well as some reflections on my own family’s history on this land in central Alberta.

If you’ve read Finding Flora, I’d love to hear what you thought. And if you haven’t, I’d highly recommend it…it might just get you thinking about your own ancestors, too.

Ever wondered what goes into capturing all that “Cute B Roll” businesses use on social media?

Lucky for us, it’s a whole lot of laughs…even when overthinking putting on lip balm 😆

Grateful to work with such a fun team! .marsellus .virtual
