Why We Walk. Tulipathon is about more than a walk through the tulips.

It's about neighbours helping neighbours. It's about ensuring everyone has access to safe and affordable housing. It's about creating communities where people feel they belong.

There's still time to support this year's campaign before June 30.

Each year, starting in September, MHI Patrons share their reflections on a thought-provoking question from their own faith perspective. With every Patron representing a different tradition, the answers are rich, diverse, and deeply personal.

May's Patron's Corner was answered by Rabbi Steven Garten, Temple Israel: “What significance does the concept of “home” hold in your faith tradition?"

We remember and honour Gay Richardson, one of Multifaith Housing Initiative’s founding members and a dedicated champion of affordable housing for more than 25 years.

Gay helped shape MHI into the organization it is today. From serving as President and Secretary, to helping secure housing units at Somerset Gardens, recruiting volunteers and donors, and leading St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church’s Tulipathon fundraising team, her impact can be felt throughout our organization and community.

Her legacy lives on in the homes she helped create, the people she inspired, and the countless lives she touched through her compassion and commitment to others.

We invite you to read our tribute to Gay and learn more about the remarkable legacy she leaves behind. https://bit.ly/43fYJeq
