First day of racing today!! Come on out and help support our Fort Erie Racetrack!! :)

AS YOU ARE AWARE THE OLG WILL BE LOCKING ITS DOORS ON MONDAY, APRIL 30TH ENDING A SUCCESSFUL 13 YEAR RUN IN THE TOWN OF FORT ERIE

· A VIGIL WILL BE HELD FOR THE FORT ERIE SLOTS ON MONDAY, APRIL 30TH AT 6PM JUST OUTSIDE OF THE MAIN SLOT ENTRANCE

· THE PEOPLE OF FORT ERIE ARE WELCOME TO COME AND SHOW THEIR DISAPPOVAL TO THE PROVINCE OF ONTARIO REGARDING THE CLOSURE OF THE SLOTS FACILITY

· THE PEOPLE OF FORT ERIE ARE ALSO WELCOME TO SHOW THEIR SUPPORT OF THE NEW FELRC PLAN TO TAKE OVER THE OPERATION OF THE SLOTS

· IF THE PLAN IS APPROVED IT WILL SECURE RACING’S FUTURE AT FORT ERIE WITH SPECIFIC SUPPORT FROM THE SLOT REVENUE GOING TOWARD THE PURSE ACCOUNT

· SPEAKERS WILL BE ON SITE AT 6:00 PM

· COPIES OF THE PROPOSAL BY THE FELRC TO OPERATE THE SLOTS ARE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST

BREAKING NEWS: OLG agrees to meet with Fort Erie to talk about local takeover of slots Mayor Doug Martin tells Bullet News the town has received word from Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. officials they're prepared to sit down with him and representatives of the Fort Erie Live Racing Consortium early next week.
