While most internal communication happens through ClassDojo, this one seems good to share here because we 🫶 our books!
Also, thank you to Miss Tapps, our librarian, for all you do for us throughout the year.

Anyone with children with access to online social media should check this out!
In our ever changing world, we can’t often keep up with what our children are encountering out there in their digital worlds.
Please take a moment to consider what is being offered and stay aware to support our youth.

Sports update:
“Last Friday, our cycle 3 students had the chance to go watch a football game at l’Académie les Estacades. Some grade 5 and 6 students were playing with students from many other elementary schools in Trois-Rivières.
It was quite the spectacle.
Our students shone brightly throughout the game. A game which they won by 2 touchdowns.
A few players stood out: Tristan Turcotte caught a pass for a 20-yard gain, Axel Bussière-Sawyer ran for 40 yards, Oliver Daly caught 2 passes for 50 yards, Daimen Bedard caught a bomb from Frédérik Tardif for a touchdown, Jordan Heerah applied pressure on the quarterback all game long and had 3 sacks, Edvina Jordan-Mombo made 13 tackles, and lastly Frédérik Tardif threw 2 touchdown passes and ran for one more touchdown. Truly a display of excellence from our student-athletes.
After the game, the season awards were given, and once again, our students stole the show. Frédérik Tardif won ‘’Best Spirit’’, Tristan Turcotte won ‘’Offensive Player of the Year’’, Edvina Jordan Mombo won ‘’Defensive Player of the Year’’, Axel Bussière-Sawyer won ''Most Tough player'' at les Estacades and lastly Jordan Heerah won Most Valuable Player of the Year.
It was an amazing year for our football players, and we’re all proud of you! -Coach Houle”

A (late) sports report!
Yesterday (Tuesday), once again, all of our MEES flag football teams played their last 2 games of the regular season.
The grade 4 boys team played 2 games. The first one they tied, and the second one they won by quite a lot of points. They were led by amazing performances from William Bartlett, and the speedy rusher Tom "too-quick-for-you" Fontaine.
The grade 5 girls played against 2 new teams yesterday and played their 2 best games ever. They lost the first game by one touchdown, and tied the second against against a VERY IMPRESSIVE team from Intégrée des Forges. The girls battled their fears, and played amazing defense. They were led by quarterback Emmy "the flea" Thibeault and Charlotte "Oh MY God" Giasson.
The grade 6 girls didn't feel like winning or losing yesterday, so they tied both of their games. The first one was a hard fought battle in which the girls played against their own hands.... In the second game, the girls improved greatly, completing many passes and impressive plays. Some girls played incredible games: Maika "6-7" Richard-Benny, Kloe “Miracle Catch" Jean and Emmy “I-Love-Drones" Jutras.
Lastly, the grade 6 boys played against two very strong teams, but were affected by the heat. Solely because of the heat, they tied their first game, and lost their second one. They played well, and smartly left room for improvement before the tournament. They were driven by great performances from Elliot "Do-It-All" Boussabaha, Arthur "Roadrunner" Mimeault and Tristan " Love My Jeans" Turcotte.
The coaches are very proud of all of you and can't wait for the tournament in 3 weeks!
-Mr Houle, coach, grade 6 teacher.

MEES has a visitor today! Casper came to spend the day visiting “old friends” (the graduating class) and give some lucky vibes for ministry exam season to them.
He also made some new friends in grade 4.
Thanks Clinique REPS for letting us have some time with him!

So nice to see so many families and friends (and even old students from TRA) at our annual daycare picnic! Even though it was inside, everyone got to meet some of our daycare staff and enjoy lunch together.
Can we fill it up by the end of the year?!?
Fun fact: The Fondation Mira collects aluminum can tabs as one of their fundraisers.
Even more fun fact: MEES accepts those donations and takes them to Mira!
You can send in your can tabs with your (step)child/grandchild/niece/nephew/ or just pop by the office yourself with them and we will add them to the container.
We also accept ink/toner cartridges, and clean prescription pill bottles for Mira.
Let’s fill the container once more this year!!!
PS: Cale says thanks! 🐾 🐾
