Fire Advisory in Effect
July 12, 2024, 8:00 AM:
A FIRE ADVISORY is now in effect for Kneehill County due to prolonged heat and low precipitation.
Burn permits may be applied for, but Fire Guardians may deny permit applications due to varying conditions throughout the County.
Under a Fire Advisory:
π₯ Campfires, backyard fires, and charcoal briquettes are allowed.
π₯ New burn permits will be issued on a case-by-case basis.
Prohibited:
β Any burning without a valid fire permit, other than a campfire, is prohibited.
This FIRE ADVISORY only applies to Kneehill County and the hamlets within (Sunnyslope, Huxley, Torrington, Wimborne, and Swalwell). The Town of Trochu, the Town of Three Hills, and the Villages of Acme, Carbon, and Linden will have their own advisory or restrictions, if any. Please call their offices or visit their websites for details in their jurisdictions.
