Have you seen this place in downtown Toronto? 👀
🏛️ This is Osgoode Hall, one of Toronto’s oldest and most important historic buildings.
📅 It was built in 1829 and named after William Osgoode, the first Chief Justice of Upper Canada.
⚖️ Today, it’s still home to parts of Ontario’s legal system, including the Law Society of Ontario and courtrooms for the Court of Appeal.
🚪 It’s known for its distinctive iron gates and beautiful Victorian architecture.
🌳 The grounds also include peaceful gardens—an unexpected green space right in the middle of downtown Toronto.
📚 Inside, there’s also the historic Great Library, one of the most impressive legal libraries in Canada.
Most people walk past it without realizing how much history is inside this one place.
