Hashtag Uncensored

TO Wards Peace (TWP) is a community-led and risk-driven, wraparound intervention model that takes a public health approach to the intervention, prevention and interruption of community violence in the Northwest and Scarborough regions of Toronto.

This program draws on the lived experience of communities and persons affected by various levels of violence to develop and implement effective community engagement approaches, innovative community tools and social media strategies geared at violence intervention and interruption. 

      

🕊 RIEP D'Angelo 🕊
Feb.11th.1974 - Oct.14th.2025

D’Angelo was one of the most widely revered artists of the past 30 years. He began his career as a songwriter for other artists, but he quickly asserted himself as a solo star with his 1995 debut, Brown Sugar. A key part of the Soulquarians, a loose collective of musicians, singers, and producers — Questlove, Erykah Badu, J Dilla, Q-Tip, to name a few — he was at the forefront of a movement that charted new paths in soul, R&B, and hip-hop while maintaining a deep admiration for the past.

His three solo albums — Brown Sugar, 2000’s Voodoo, and 2014’s Black Messiah — all earned critical acclaim and cracked the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 albums chart, with Voodoo reaching Number One. His biggest Hot 100 charter was “Lady,” but it was “Untitled (How Does it Feel),” with its memorable one-shot video of a naked D’Angelo belting the track, that arguably became his signature song.

🕊 RIP Graham Greene CM (June 22, 1952 – September 1, 2025) was a Canadian First Nations (Oneida) actor and recording artist, active in film, television, and theatre in a career spanning over 50 years.

He achieved international fame for his role as Kicking Bird (Ziŋtká Nagwáka) in Kevin Costner's Dances With Wolves (1990), which earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

His other notable films include Thunderheart (1992), Maverick (1994), Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995), The Green Mile (1999), Skins (2002), Transamerica (2005), Casino Jack (2010), Winter's Tale (2014), The Shack (2017), and Wind River (2017).
