Under a new temporary public policy effective September 4, 2026, certain work-permit holders have been personally identified by IRCC as eligible to study in Canada without obtaining a study permit.

This has been a very common question from many of you, as plenty of work-permit holders are still interested in pursuing short-term programs in Canada. Well, IRCC has officially cleared the air!

We need to talk about this.

We’ve had a noticeable increase in consultations recently — people whose PR applications were rejected after receiving their ITA. And in almost every case, it came down to documentation.

These are just SOME of the documents currently getting Express Entry applications refused. 😳

An ITA is an invitation — not an approval. IRCC reviews everything, and one overlooked requirement can undo months of work.
