Here's the twist , I changed the colour from the previous post since I got lots of feedback that the colours looked almost identical. And to be honest I wasn't fond of it either!

So here we are with the green instead of peach. was happy to include greens in this earthy tone painting. ( Yes I know it looks more blue than green but trust me it's green 😅)

Finally done! After much contemplation on the background colour I decided to go with black and I absolutely love it !
Seeing this almost complete makes me so happy. Saturday well spent.

While I have made slow progress on the Yin yang mandala, I'm happy that I'm still making progress.

This year has been very unique, thanks to COVID with all the ups and downs and weird twists. However I'm appreciative of the time I get to spend on my mandalas !

Also I have to give a special shout to - for being so considerate and empathetic to all the delays in finishing up this project! Just another short file and this set should be done and wrapped up 🤞.

Adding some earthy tones to the yin yang mandala! These colours are definitely new to the little experiment but I kind of like the appeal of it.

While staying at home as given me some extra time, I have not felt that burst of energy to get through my paintings or start new projects. However I'm working on that and I hope to sit and channelise my energy into creative time and wrap up current projects.

Definitely a new hobby!

After nearly a year, I'm back to tanjore Painting. This one is a custom YIN YANG mandala, for a family friend and it's a new design idea and colour combination!

Considering how long it has been since I prepared boards made my version of makku , I feel super rusty. So this year ( considering the quarantine ) , I'm going to spend my evenings painting and using this as a de- stresser!

Final reveal of my hand painted tote on Thursday!!!!

This October I'm collaborating with for the Wearable Art for Princess Margaret on Oct 17 2019. This fundraising event is organized by , where she will be selling her veg tan leather totes that she hand makes.
I got the opportunity to paint the front of the bag and customize it as Modern Tanjore. While I was nervous to work with a new medium , I have loved working on leather and excited to finish and reveal the final product.
