Our award winning group coaching and mentoring programs create powerful learning opportunities that can't be found in the classroom. Leaders on the fast-track learn best when sharing experiences with other people who've "been there". We are the place for leaders to learn about, and discuss, leadership challenges and opportunities in "real-time" and build the behaviours and mindsets needed to accelerate performance and job satisfaction.

Fun team outing today to cheer on Toronto’s first WNBA team the Toronto Tempo. Although they didn’t take the win, they played with heart.
Watching was a good reminder to me that it can take teams some time to gel and get into the rhythm of each other. There are some incredible players on the Tempo. Excited to see what’s to come!

Leah and I were happy to represent our team at the Canadian HR Awards this evening where we nominated in the Service Provider of the Year category. 🙌🏻💜🎉
Although we weren’t winners this time around, it was great to be nominated with a fabulous group of Canadian service providers and be there to cheer on our long time clients Lindt Canada and CAA Club Group who snagged some well deserved wins.
Thanks for the great evening.

Amazing day at the golf tournament ⛳️ in support of . It is always great to get out and play (especially with top notch colleagues like and .gilchrist). It’s even better when you know you’re supporting an amazing cause.
Grateful for our fifteen year partnership with the team at CAA Club Group. It is truly a privilege to work with this organization who align their values to their actions each and every day.

Lead with a kite, not a leash.
A senior leader once shared that he gave his people enough leash not to choke themselves.
I never really liked that visual. Who wants people to choke themselves? Sounded like a leader that’s abdicating a bit of responsibility to me.
I prefer the idea of leading with a kite not a leash.
A kite can float and move in various directions and the kite flyer gently guides and keeps the kite airborne. It’s a much better visual that choking people with a leash.
It’s also quite fitting in the disruptive world of work. Outside forces (rain, wind, trees) can cause a kite to get tangled, disorientated and plunge to the earth.
Leaders need to anticipate changes, shift direction and from time to time, pick up the pieces. I think we’re in the era of kite leadership for sure. What do you think?

Your energy is contagious.
My dad was one of those people who, when he was happy, the whole world was happy and when he was angry, the energy he brought in would have you walking on eggshells. If you are a highly charismatic or high energy leader, please don’t underestimate your ability to affect the energy of your team for the positive or the negative.
Bad moods and negative energy are contagious. Leadership can suck sometimes. When you feel yourself spiraling into negativity (there’s only so many losses, setbacks, or bad results one can take!), make a conscious effort to bring in positive energy. A simple technique? Start off your team meetings with a shout out to positive things that have happened during the week. It immediately shifts the dynamic. Give it a try.
How do you build positive energy in bad times?
We spend a lot of time working with leadership teams to set goals and align around performance goals. Last week it was our turn.
Our Roundtable team just wrapped up another epic retreat, setting the stage for 2025!
We built our 3-Year Vivid Vision, created our Flywheel, cooked up some killer strategies and had a blast laughing, sharing, and dreaming big about what’s next for 2025 and beyond.
We are energized and ready to tackle our ambitious goals. Thanks to the team at The Kingbridge Centre for a great two days.

Hand in a B paper.
Hey all you high achieving, excellence pursuing, ‘don’t know when to let it go’ leaders...this post’s for you.
Guess what? Sometimes it’s o.k. if you hand in a “B” paper! For real!
One of the secrets that uber-busy, stretched-too-thin, senior executives know how to do is stop wasting time over-engineering non-value added activities.
They know that by spending their energy on things that give diminishing returns, they’re taking their time and focus away from the things that are actually going to make a difference to the business.
Next time you’re at your desk at 10 p.m. making sure everything in your power point slide is ‘perfect’, ask yourself “is what I’m doing right now adding to the bottom or top line of the business?”
If the answer is no, pack it up. Go home. Get some sleep. Save your A game for when you really need it.
What do you add too much value to that you can let go?
