8 MUST see stops along the Icefield Parkway🚗🏔️In order as shown in the video:📍Athabasca Falls📍Sunwapta Falls 📍Athabasca Glacier📍Maligne Canyon📍Peyto Lake📍Bow Lake📍Maligne Lake📍Spirit IslandHowever, the order in which you would drive is this…💙Bow Lake - if you’re driving from Banff to Jasper, it will be on your left-hand side and there are plenty of pull offs to stop and enjoy the view!🐺Peyto Lake - in order to see the iconic wolf shaped lake, you must hike 1.5 miles up a steady incline. There’s a parking lot below but it fills up QUICK. 🏔️Maligne Canyon - this was a super short hike from the parking lot. It’s easy to get down to, but a bit of an incline on the way back. It’s a bit further down the icefield parkway. 🧊Athabasca Glacier - you can either do the hike to the toe of the glacier (less than a mile) or you can book a tour to actually walk on the glacier! We did both and definitely recommend getting to walk on the glacier. ☀️Sunwapta Falls - super easy stop, literally right off of the highway. There are hikes, but the viewpoint is basically in the parking lot 🏔️Athabasca Falls - another easy stop right off the side of the highway. The falls are on the left side of the road and the rock view point is on the right side. It’s pretty easy to find!🩵Maligne Lake - this stop is in Jasper NP, and it’s a stunning lake! We actually did a boat tour but you can also kayak to….🛶Spirit Island- you can’t come to Jasper NP and not see the iconic spirit island. The only way here is by a boat tour or to kayak. Though kayaking would take ALL day. We do regret not kayaking it though, so I guess we will have to go back 😉Which stop is your favorite?👀#icefieldparkway #roadtrip #canadaroadtrip #banffnationalpark #jaspernationalpark #travel #travelcouple #adventure #outdoors #hiking 04/02/2025

ERA: Our Story...

“Helping others get the most from their escape room experiences is what we do best!’’

It all started the summer of 2014 in Toronto, Canada when Matt Silver heard about a great new team building company. Teams were locked in a mysterious room and the only way to escape was by solving a series of puzzles, riddles, and team challenges in 60-minutes or less. As a teams specialist & organizational consultant, Matt couldn’t resist the thought of creating a team to play a real life point & click adventure game (like Myst). He gathered 3 friends he knew would love something like this, and together they’d form a super team that could solve any puzzle, riddle or team challenge thrown at them...they went, the played, and...they failed...miserably. It didn’t matter because the amount of fun they had was off the charts and the addiction had begun! For the next couple months each of the guys did everything they could to rearrange their family schedules so they could play as many escape rooms together as possible!

Only a small handful of escape room companies existed in North America at that point in time, but thankfully cities like Los Angeles & Toronto provided the perfect breeding ground for what is now a hot entertainment trend across the USA & Canada! Matt and his friends knew this was something they needed to share with as many people as possible. Together they would form the early beginnings of a group focused on helping others through escape room reviews and consultation. When the name Esc Room Addict (ERA) was suggested for our organization it wasn’t just a perfect description of who we are, we knew it would soon become the best description to describe the thousands of ERA followers and industry enthusiasts who shared our passion!

Fast forward several years and Esc Room Addict is now North America’s largest organization for escape room reviews & consultation with dozens of members spread across several teams in the USA & Canada! The ERA team and the escape room industry have both changed a LOT since its early days, but one thing still remains the same: The ERA team is still just as dedicated to helping people through reviews & consultation as ever before.
