⭐ Annie will be joining us at our first Outdoor Adoption Event of the season this Saturday! ⭐

Come say hello at James Gardens on Saturday, June 27th from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, meet this adoptable sweetheart in person, and chat with her foster family to learn more about her and what makes her such a special girl.

Annie / Female / 1.5 Years / 33 lbs / Lab mix / Good with Dogs / Good with Kids / Good with Cats / From Mexico / Fostered in Toronto

Follow Annie’s journey on Instagram .ranger.to

Annie has had a bit of a rough start to life. Found as a tiny pup suffering from malnutrition, parasites, and a coatimundi bite (Annie learned the adage of “never pick a fight with a coati” the hard way), she’s since been rescued by caring people and given both food and medical care. Now, this sweet, loving, and above all, cuddly girl is searching for a forever home.

When you first meet Annie, the first thing you’ll notice is that she’s a shy dog. She doesn’t come bounding up to play, and she doesn’t view everyone as a friend she just hasn’t met yet. You have to spend time with her, earn her trust, and then you’ll find that this girl is the sweetest little love pup you ever did see.

Annie’s three favorite things are snuggling, napping on someone’s lap, and belly rubs, in that order. She’ll happily spend all day snuggling on the couch—it’s her happy place. Annie is always in the mood for couch cuddles and a long nap in her humans’ arms. It’ll take some work, but once you’re in, she’ll stick to you like glue.

For 630 days, Lua has been waiting for her forever family.

Behind that wiggly butt and infectious smile is a dog who has overcome so much and still greets each day with hope. Lua is ready to trade foster care for a family of her own, one that will cherish her goofy spirit, celebrate her progress, and love her forever.

Lua / Female / 3 years old / 49 lbs / Boxer Mix / Good with calm dogs (male dogs preferred) / Good with cats / Good with older, dog-savvy children / From Mexico / Fostered in Warkworth

Lua’s story started in Mexico, where her mother was found chained to a fence on an empty lot with no shelter. After giving birth to four puppies, local rescue partners stepped in, freed the family, and brought them to safety. One of those puppies was Lua.

Now fully grown, Lua has become a bright, affectionate dog with a playful spirit and a deep bond with the people she trusts.

Lua is being fostered in a structured training environment, where she has made huge progress with confidence, trust, and social skills. The timid puppy she once was has grown into a loving companion who genuinely enjoys being close to her people.

Lua is fun, goofy, and full of energy. Her foster jokes that she has an “invisible trampoline” because she bounces through life with so much excitement. She thrives on praise, affection, and connection, and nothing makes her happier than spending time with the humans she loves.

Lua’s adoption fee has been fully sponsored by Fetch + Releash, and approved adopters must be committed to continuing positive reinforcement training to help her thrive. 💛

If just 1 in every 16 of our followers chipped in $2.45 (less than your coffee), we’d hit our goal. That’s not a typo. The whole thing rests on the price of a bad gas station snack.

Meet Tilly (you might know her as Camila). She doesn’t know what a fundraising tier is. She just knows someone finally showed up for her. Every dog behind this campaign has a version of that story.

We’ve got less than 48 hours. $230 to clear the next milestone, $4,730 to finish the whole thing.

Share this. Tag the friend who cries at dog videos. Drop $2.45 if it’s in the couch cushions. All of it counts.

She survived her past, now she needs her future! Kika is looking for a foster or adopter!

635 days, that’s how long Kika has been waiting in foster care for someone to choose her.

Meet Kika (aka Kikachu) — a 3-year-old Terrier mix with a huge personality, endless love to give, and a heart that has already survived more than most dogs ever should.

Kika’s story began on the streets of Mexico, where she wandered into the home of a shelter volunteer, injured and clearly mistreated. Somehow, despite everything she had endured, she knew exactly where to go for help.

Today, she’s safe, she’s thriving and she’s ready to find her person!

Kika is equal parts comedian and cuddle bug. She’s obsessed with warm blankets, uses her favourite toys as pillows, has full conversations with squeaky toys, and takes her job as a cardboard recycler very seriously. She loves belly rubs, ball games, snowy adventures, and making her humans laugh every single day.

But what makes Kika truly special is her loyalty!

Once she trusts you, she trusts you completely. She’ll look to you for guidance, follow your lead, and love you with her whole heart.

Kika is searching for:
✨ A female-only, adult-only home
✨ No dogs, cats, or children in the home
✨ Someone patient and committed to building trust
✨ A confident handler who appreciates smart, sensitive dogs

She’s crate trained, muzzle trained, has trusted relationships with her vet and dog sitter, and is already working hard with a dog walker to continue building confidence around new people.

If you’ve ever thought about giving a deserving dog a second chance, please consider Kika. Her forever person is out there somewhere — maybe this post will help them find her.

Vaquita / Female / 3 Years Old / 28lbs / Terrier Mix /Tripod/ Good with Dogs / Untested with Kids / Good with Cats / From Mexico/ Fostered in Toronto

Vaquita (which means “little cow”) is a gentle, mild-mannered girl who has already shown incredible resilience. She came into care after being abandoned when her family moved, and it was quickly clear she was too soft-hearted to survive on her own. Since then, she has been learning what it feels like to be safe, loved, and part of a home again.

She is as sweet as they come. Calm, affectionate, and happiest when she’s close to her person. Vaquita loves going for walks (she’ll be waiting by the door the second she sees a leash), enjoys chewing on toys, and has a playful side that comes out with other dogs. She has the cutest little habits, her tail is almost always wagging, and when she meets a dog she really likes, she makes a soft, endearing “play with me” sound that’s impossible not to smile at. At home, she’s more of a cozy companion, happy to settle in for belly rubs or nap nearby.

With her people, Vaquita bonds very quickly. She’s incredibly affectionate, often coming over just to rest her head on you and soak up attention. With new people, she is friendly and eager to say hello, both to humans and dogs alike. While she hasn’t been formally tested with children, her gentle and easygoing nature suggests she would do well with respectful, dog-savvy kids.

Vaquita has overcome so much and now all she needs is a forever family to share her love, loyalty, and endless tail wags with.

Mavi needs a home.

Right now, Mavi is searching for either a foster or forever home by June 10th and more than anything, we’re hoping the next place he lands can finally be his forever.

After months of learning, growing, and building trust in foster care, Mavi has come so far. The once unsure puppy is now showing his goofy, affectionate, cuddly personality more and more every single day. He’s learning that the world can be safe, routines can be comforting, and people can be kind.

What would help Mavi thrive most now? Stability. A family to truly bond with. A home where he no longer has to start over again.

Mavi’s ideal home is one that will continue helping him build confidence through patience, routine, training, and guidance. He would thrive in a quieter neighbourhood with a backyard where he can decompress, explore, and enjoy outdoor time away from the stress of busy city environments.

He absolutely blossoms with another dog by his side. His foster sibling has helped him learn, play, grow, and feel safe, and we would love to see him continue that journey with a confident doggie companion in his forever home.

He doesn’t need perfection. He just needs someone willing to believe in him.

Someone to celebrate the little wins.
Someone to continue building his confidence.
Someone to show him that he’s finally home.

And once Mavi trusts you, you’ll see what an incredibly special dog he truly is.

Good with dogs. Looking for a quiet/suburban home with a yard and dog companion.

Lola / Female / 3 Years Old / 38lbs / Mixed Breed / Good with Dogs / Untested with Kids / Untested with Cats / From Mexico/ Fostered in Toronto

Lola is a gentle, sensitive soul who is learning (at her own pace) that the world can be a safe and kind place. She was found living at a remote gas station while very pregnant, in an area known for abandoned dogs. Since coming into care, she has made quiet but meaningful progress, slowly trading fear for trust and beginning to understand what it means to belong.

She is a soft, affectionate girl with a calm presence. Lola enjoys the simple things-sniff walks, time outdoors, cozy naps, and cuddling up once she feels comfortable. She’s not one for chaos or attention; instead, she prefers to quietly observe her surroundings before deciding how she feels. When she does open up, it’s incredibly special. She’ll come over for gentle cuddles, offer sweet kisses, and even greet you with a happy little burst of excitement to start the day. She also has a playful, endearing side, especially when it comes to mealtime, where she does a small excited dance.

With her people, Lola is loving, easygoing, and deeply affectionate once she feels safe. With new people, she is more cautious and prefers slow, respectful introductions, often choosing to keep her distance at first before gradually warming up. While she hasn’t been formally tested with children, based on her temperament, she would likely do well with calm, dog-savvy kids who can give her space and allow her to approach on her own terms.
