One week ago, we began our new round of JANE development with a design intensive at ! It’s so exciting to be back working on this spicy little VR deepfake show with an expanded team, full workshop budget (thanks .council !), and trusted cohort of dear collaborators and friends. Oh hey! Did you miss us? Well we’re back, and with some extra special news for you.

Since the success of our showcase at this year’s Tarragon Theatre Greenhouse Festival, we’ve been extra busy planning the next stage of our JANE development. And we’re so excited to make public that, thanks to the generous support of Canada Council for the Arts | Conseil des arts du Canada Toronto Arts Council and partners Cahoots Theatre Company The Theatre Centre, we’ve scaled up our team, scaled up our design, scaled up our tech, and are happy to be undertaking a two-week intensive workshop this coming January. Stay tuned for some new photos, footage, and other behind-the-scenes content as we move into the next (super exciting!!!!) phase of this project. 👾

🔁 // .ca 🔁 Today, is celebrating the brilliant young Hamilton actors who so bravely and beautifully took on scenes from our 2019 multi award-winning Fringe hit “We All Got Lost” (also a Tom Hendry Award winner) for their .ca “Creative Futures” scene study. They absolutely smashed it!!!! It makes our hearts so happy that this show is living on in the hands of new generations of local theatre makers. Congratulations, you lovely souls!!! (& thank you and for your beautiful direction/facilitation). ⚔️🌳💘

We were SO PROUD to be repping JANE at last week’s Equity Showcase Theatre The Cayle Chernin Awards !!! Being chosen as a finalist was such a humbling, special experience. Huge congratulations to all the other nominees and winners!! 🏆 It was such a pleasure being among you!!! Stay tuned for lots more JANE in the future. 🥰🧑🏽‍💻📲👾💦

We are so humbled and excited to share that JANE (written by Camille Intson, directed by Bryn Kennedy, designed by Nicole Eun-Ju Bell) is a finalist for this year's Equity Showcase Cayle Chernin Theatre Development Award. Thank you to all of the wonderful people and organizations (shout-out to Tarragon Theatre's Greenhouse residency!) that have supported our development thus far. Congratulations to all other finalists across all categories; we can't wait to celebrate in-person with you next month!
