Disclaimer: We do not encourage anyone to watch Euphoria but we are merely reflecting on some of the themes we have observed from the show.
Chastity missionaries, Kim and Keith, discuss about HBO's . However, covering a show with hot takes comes with an even hotter twist. While eating fish sticks covered in hot sauces of ascending order of spiciness, they discuss thier experience watching the show and hard themes covered within our society.

Today we celebrate the Feast of the Annunciation. Let us take a moment and reflect on our Mother, on her humility and on her 'yes' to the Lord. Our mother, through her humility, found favour in God's eye. Even as the angel shared to Mary on what God plans to do with her, there still is a struggle within her asking if she is up to the task. But despite this, she still said "let it be done to me according to your word." And with that 'yes', set in stone the path to everyone's salvation.
Now let's look inwardly into our own hearts. Are you able to imitate our Mother's humility? Are you able to put God's will first instead of our own? Are you able to rely on God and not feel like you can do things on your own? Are the works you are doing, the affirmations and praise you receive, point towards God or to yourself? How much do you want to take control of the situation? Are you able to say 'yes' to God, no matter what it is?
These questions are hard. Everyone struggles in various ways. To be humble without deprecation is difficult. To let go of oneself and control is difficult as well. To live simply in service not for yourself but for others is not an easy task to take. This Lenten season is the right time to practice that humility, that self-denial, and that reliance on God. Offer what you don't really need. Offer what you rely on and give your attention to the most but aren't essential. And within that struggle, go to Him for help. Even if what you offer up in this season is little, the stairway to heaven is made up of a thousand little steps. Let this step bring you more closer to Him.
When the time comes for God to call you to the task, let it be done not because you believe you are up to the task. Let it be done, despite all your worries and shortcomings you may have. Truly, let it be done because it is according to His will. Your 'yes' will set in stone a path to something beautiful.
