It’s been almost 2 years now since I disappeared from social media and music.

I wasn’t truly happy. I was living for approval, curating a version of myself that didn’t feel real. So I stepped away.

During that time, I traveled to Guatemala, sat with myself and faced the truth. I realized something had to change. Through soul searching, I reconnected with God, deepened my faith and remembered what I truly value and who I am.

I no longer drink socially, I gave up refined sugar, became more connected to myself and God and stopped chasing brands or surface connections just to fit in.

Now I’m back ready to share music and content again, this time for the joy of it.

If you’re also on a journey of becoming who you really are, I hope my story reminds you that it’s never too late to start again. 🙏🏼

Being here at the memorial reminds me why I wrote Woman, Life, Freedom. Music is how I carry voices that were silenced. Sitting here, I feel the weight of how her name united millions around the world, becoming a symbol of courage and freedom.

We must never forget her or all those who’ve lost their lives fighting for justice and democracy in Iran. I lost my entire family to the regime. Two innocent uncles I never got to meet: one executed at a young age, the other locked away in prison and hidden to this day , simply because we are Kurdish. Let’s not stop fighting for justice

Her memory, and theirs, live on through us. 💚🤍💛❤️ ✌️

‎بودن در کنار یادبود به من یادآوری می‌کنه که چرا آهنگ “زن، زندگی، آزادی” رو نوشتم. موسیقی برای من راهیه برای رسوندن صدای کسانی که خاموش شدند. اینجا نشسته‌ام و سنگینی نام او را حس می‌کنم، نامی که میلیون‌ها نفر را در سراسر جهان متحد کرد و به نمادی از شجاعت و آزادی تبدیل شد.

‎ما هرگز نباید او را فراموش کنیم، یا تمام کسانی را که جان خود را در راه آزادی و دموکراسی در ایران از دست دادند. من خانواده‌ام را به خاطر رژیم از دست دادم. دو دایی بی‌گناه که هیچ‌وقت ندیدم: یکی در جوانی اعدام شد و دیگری در زندان پنهان مانده است، فقط به این دلیل که ما کُرد هستیم.

‎یاد او و یادشان در ما زنده است. بیایید هرگز از مبارزه برای آزادی دست نکشیم.❤️💛🤍💚
