The Stay Sensitized anti-racism Conference was a hit!! I had the honour of hosting the event, MCing and bringing some Black Canadian history quiz questions to a crowd of educators who do not want to get desensitized to the harm of racism in education, and want to make a better world for all young people ✊🏾
Dr. Jacqueline Battalora’s keynote on the invention of whiteness was mind blowing 🤯, Ernest Crim III’s keynote on racism and his own experiences with hate made me cry, and every speaker said something meaningful, forgetting the cliches we hear way too often and actually talking about anti-racist actions. BIG thank you to my brother for putting it all together, I can’t wait for next year! 🇨🇦📚
