What are the strengths of North American College of Information Technology’s program in Civil Engineering Design and Technology?
The first is the design of the program. Initially, North American College’s program was designed as a professional development program in that it was aimed at giving foreign trained and experienced engineers and engineering technologists the information they needed to “Canadianize” their skills and knowledge: on the knowledge level with training in the building designs, codes and materials that are required by the local geo-environment; on the skill level with training in the most common programs used by Ontario and Canadian engineering companies – for example, Primavera, Timberline, Staad Pro, AutoCAD and MIcroStation.
The second is our class size. Our philosophy is that the highly technical aspects of all of our engineering programs are best taught and learned in a small group format in order to provide the greatest opportunity for give-and-take between and among the instructor and the students. For that reason, we limit our technical classes to a maximum of 15 students.
The third element is the mixture of students in the class. Since it was originally designed for and still functions as professional development and upgrading, the advanced student has the opportunity to learn and work on projects with other advanced students. The program is also designed for those who have no previous background or training. Once these individuals go through the foundational subjects, they then are able to join the “professional” group of students. This mixture provides the novice with a very rich learning/tutorial environment and the experienced with an opportunity to develop and enhance their skills as team leaders and coaches.
The fourth element is the background of the instructor. NAC’s policy is that its Civil Engineering Technology instructor must also be actively working as a practicing engineer in Canada. In other words, we want to ensure that our students are taught be individuals whose command of the requirements and practice of the occupation are as current and broad as possible.

As the Esthetic industry expands, so must the knowledge and skill set of the spa therapist. Spas are now a $10-billion a year industry and the demand for qualified professionals far exceeds the supply of graduating therapists. North American College of Information Technology understands this need and has designed an all encompassing curriculum to equip graduates with the skill sets necessary to succeed.
We boast small class size, highly experienced and respected instructors and a curriculum that far exceeds spa standards. The college has built a reputation for being dedicated to the academic growth of the industry. It is our objective to make each student’s experience a rewarding one. This makes North American College of Information Technology graduates the most sought after in the medi-spa industry.
