OACAS was devastated to hear about the death of Alisha Brooks, a fierce advocate for children and youth in the child welfare system, a mother, and a friend to many. Alisha was connected to OACAS through our campaign. She also recently attended and was recognized at our 2024 Children and Youth in Care Day celebration. Alisha was deeply connected in the youth advocacy space and her loss will be deeply felt in the child welfare community in Toronto and beyond.
