To celebrate Community Week, we asked some of our Good Space team to share a few of their favourite local spots around Toronto — the places they love to visit, support, and keep coming back to. Consider this your Good Space-approved neighbourhood guide 🫶 🏡

Save this for your next day around the city, and tell us what local spot you’d add to the list!

Community is at the heart of everything we do, so join us August 17–23 as we offer $5 community classes all week long 💛

Throughout the week, two daily classes can be reserved using your regular membership or class credit, or with a special $5 Community Week class credit. Every dollar from those $5 class credits will be donated to the Parkdale Community Food Bank.

As an extra thank you, if you attend three Community Week classes, you’ll automatically receive a FREE class (valid for 30 days) and $10 off an Intro Pass, purchased after Community Week and activated anytime during September.

Whether you’re a longtime member or joining us for the first time, it’s a simple way to move your body while supporting our wider community.

Another wonderful month 🌞

From phone-free wilderness retreats with Megan Jones, to nourishing park hangs with friends, 7AM bingo, and babies in hats, these past weeks have been filled with warmth, community and intention.

This month, we celebrated our 7AM community with a little bingo card challenge and invited our early morning members to share what makes their sunrise practices so special 🌞

A big thank you to everyone who joined in, showed up, and embraced the sweet ritual of early rising, golden light movement, and starting the day together. Here’s to the magic of mornings on the mat ✨

As hot July zooms by, we’re taking a moment to honour the beauty and brightness of the month while also holding space for the full, complex spectrum of being human: the joy, the grief, the absurdity, the anxiety, and everything in between.

Just remember that you can be both:
✨ deeply grateful and deeply tired
✨ healing and still figuring it out
✨ connected and occasionally needing to disappear
✨ enjoying life’s little moments while staying connected to the realities and challenges of the world we share

Wherever July met you, we hope you found a few moments to laugh, breathe, and connect—with yourself, with nature, and with people who ground you. Let’s keep finding ways to care deeply, stay connected, and to bring joy into this world.

Jasmine grew up listening to music from all over the world. She remembers falling in love with songs for their vibration, sound, and the way they made her feel. Some songs even spoke a language her heart already understood.

That early connection grew into a deep appreciation for warm, rich soundscapes and for music’s ability to hold memory, emotion, and belonging. Today, that same intention shapes every class she teaches. Each song is chosen to deepen the experience of movement, breath, and sensation.

Curating class playlists featuring music, poetry, and different languages is Jasmine’s small but meaningful way of creating moments of recognition - because so many of us have never walked into a class and heard music that felt like home 🫶🌀

Out of Office and into the moment 🌲🌀

Over four days in Algonquin Park, we found energizing and restorative movement, ate meals created with local ingredients, swam in Kawawaymog Lake, and enjoyed deep conversations and sleep. We paddled, puzzled, and painted. We sang in the sauna, toured the lush gardens, and read books from the library. We listened to Erykah Badu on vinyl while eating wood-fired pizza fresh from the outdoor oven. We dropped into these moments more fully without phones or clocks. We experienced the adventure, dreamtime, creativity, community connection, and nature connection that are pillars of Northern Edge retreats.

To everyone who joined us—thank you for bringing your openness, intention and care. It was something special 💛Already counting down until next year’s retreat!
