✨ Welcome back, Kaitlyn Wilcox! ✨

We’re so excited to welcome Kaitlyn Wilcox back to the FOPT team as our Training & Curriculum Officer! 🌿

Kaitlyn Wilcox (she/they) is a mixed Potawatomi social worker, researcher, and artist. Their Bodéwadmi ancestors come from Beausoleil First Nation and Moose Deer Point First Nation. They hold a BSW and MSW and are a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.

Kaitlyn’s work is grounded in Indigenous knowledges, wellness, and cultural resurgence. Through research, academic writing, teaching, curriculum development, training, and community engagement, they support culturally safe, anti-oppressive, and Indigenous-led approaches across health, education, and social services. As both an artist and social worker, Kaitlyn is committed to creating meaningful opportunities for learning, healing, and connection while uplifting Indigenous voices, perspectives, and ways of knowing.

We’re grateful to have Kaitlyn’s brilliance, creativity, care, and leadership back at FOPT as we grow our training, curriculum, research, and community learning work. 🤎

Kaitlyn’s training and curriculum work will also support learning coming out of our Bridging the Gaps Study, which explores Indigenous youth journeys through the GTA mental health system and identifies opportunities for systems change.
