Your home insurance bill has probably doubled in the last decade.
Why?
The answer is climate change.
Climate change is now responsible for approximately 50% of all premium increases in Canada since 2008. That works out to $533 more per year for the average homeowner — over $3,000 in extra costs since 2020 alone.

Today is Clean Air Day!
Everyone deserves clean air, no matter where they live.
For too long, Hamilton residents have lived with some of the highest levels of industrial air pollution in Ontario. ArcelorMittal Dofasco remains one of the city's largest sources of air pollution and climate emissions.
The good news? Cleaner steelmaking technology already exists. Dofasco committed to phase out coal-based steelmaking and transition to cleaner production methods.
Hamilton shouldn't have to choose between a strong economy and clean air. We can have both.
We're calling on Dofasco to follow through on its commitment!

Join us for our Dragonfly Walk! We will be visiting the Nashville Conservation Reserve, habitat of the Rapids Clubtail Dragonfly. This dragonfly has bluish-green eyes, with a light yellowish-green face that is striped with two dark lines, a brownish-black and yellowish-green striped body, and transparent wings. We'll be starting bright and early, as that's when the dragonflies are most active! We'll be guided by a dragonfly expert and learn how the proposed Highway 413 (which would pave over this area) puts the Rapids Clubtail (already threatened in Ontario) in harm's way.
