Track 8 - Journey

If you listen to the whole album beginning to end, you'll hear how it all just comes so perfectly together in this special closing track.

The album was originally just the 7 tracks I've shared all the lyrics to thus far. However, while driving and reflecting on the tons of music I've recorded (but sadly never released) over this past decade, I came across this special instrumental. I caught myself songing all the choruses of the 7 tracks over it...and just like that, I decided to record it and use it as the closer of the album.

I called it Journey cuz it represents the journey of this whole album's creation which represents the journey I've walked over these past 9 years.

The journey of self-love, self-acceptance, self-respect, and self-liberation.

The guitar is played by an old friend from grade school. Actually, he was no ordinary old friend, Adam Bailie was the friend with whom I had formed my first band - a drum and bass duet.
He played bass and sang, and I was playing drums. But together, we played our little hearts out like lions Uncaged. So nostalgic....

This life is truly a mystery....nothing is promised, yet everything is provided for us to do one simple thing...

Be Our True Selves ✨️

And that is only possible we UNCAGE ourselves from the shackles of self-imposed limitations.

I trust this album will be an inspiration and facilitate the liberation of many more souls who are ready to participate in this collaboration and gift called life.

This song was actually written and produced by a dear friend and fellow SpARTist (Spiritual Warrior slash artist) who I’ve long resonated deeply with. He is a Juno award winning artist and we met back in 2013 around the time I was producing for

His verse over was one of the best verses I had the opportunity of recording, and since then we discussed the mutual interest in working together 🤝🏻

Well, it wasn't till 7 years later that sent this track to me while he was still in the mixing phase to give some fellow producer/engineer feedback. However, what he got back was more than just feedback 😄

I was so inspired by the track that I dropped what I was doing and spent the next 4 hours writing, recording and mixing this feature into it 🎤✨️

I've always loved the contrast of rapping and singing on a track. It was both a pleasure and honour to share that on this epic track 🎶

The message of this song is quite obvious yet like all music, it can to be interpreted by the listener however s/he feels and relates to it. 

Seeing it was a song he wrote and released over the pandemic, it can be taken quite literally as getting out of the beast system these globalists elitests are trying every day to trap us deeper into….but to me, it really just metaphorically represents the system of thoughts, programs, patterns, habits, beliefs and whatever else hijacked your ability to seek your dreams and live free from the shackles of your limitations 🔥✨️

I trust you will enjoy listening to this one as much as I did and hope it too, inspires you, to stop for a moment and consider what you dreamt of as a child and what you could still pursue regardless of whatever on earth has stopped you....

The paradox of this special reunion however is that until you truly love yourself, they won't recognize you as you wouldn't recognize them 💞

Soul to soul recognition hinges on this one condition… 

We live in crucial times where the old 3D power struggling relationship dynamics are no longer sustainable, nor acceptable. We all feel this and know this intrinsically as we only exist on this planet in this timeline because we are the courageous souls who intentionally chose to participate in the greatest transcendental shift of this planet 🌏

The only way this can AND WILL happen is by accurately discerning the egoic act of 'falling in love' with the spiritual process of 'Rising In Love' 💖

It is only through the latter we can master Unconditional Love and thus rise above the human 3D earthbound desire for lust.

This song is my personal account translated into a prayer that may facilitate this process in all sentient beings, HERE & NOW, IN ALL WAYS & ALWAYS.

I normally track my vocals on my own, but this session at definitely helped me get out of my comfort zone and in a whole different zone.

Shout outs to my boy for helping me with some of the vocal tracks.

All I can say is that I just pray that people don't stay in toxic relationships no matter what the situation is…

You shouldn't always have to bow and kneel without ever getting to see or feel the same efforts reciprocated.

If someone doesn't wanna face their s**t, it's usually cuz they're successfully projecting it, and you're accepting it which eventually makes you spiritually sick. Best way to deal with a narcissist is to just exit quick.

Your soul will thank you 🙏🏽

It's hard to let go, but self respect is a non-negotiable.

And don't worry about your wounds, they will eventually heal.

I wrote this initially as a poem after going through a very difficult and rather shameful period of my life. I had gotten wrapped up in a social circle and dynamic that just wasn’t healthy. Just riding a wave of synchronicities that seemed to lead me upward,but I didn’t realize just how ungrounded I had become in the process.

I consider myself a very open-minded and hearted person with a large capacity to believe in people, ideas, and things without the need to yet see the whole picture. It’s a blessing and a curse.

Whether you’re a Leo like me or just a courageous, all-in, fully-trusting, and loving human being, you know exactly what I mean.

If so, I invite you to join me in rising above our need to feel loved by anyone else other than God - our purest and highest self. That’s the true love from above and within - it comes with no conditions or restrictions and is felt with utter conviction. It’s the love that facilitates transitions, overcomes addictions, and achieves ambitions no matter what our current position.

I trust you’ll enjoy this song. I know the healing it brought to me and through me will flow into the hearts of those who are truly ready to grow, to let go and fully forgive themselves for doing that which they did not know would hurt them so…
May we all dare to love again, trust again,and most of all ,eginning with ourselves, unconditionally.
